Dutch Engineering Group — a corporate site for a family contractor

Context

Dutch Engineering Group B.V. is a family business in Zwaagdijk-Oost that keeps the entire construction chain in-house: renovation, new-build, facade insulation, commercial construction, bathrooms, roofing and structural work. No subcontractors — one team. For a positioning like that a corporate site isn't brochureware, it's the first trust moment between homeowner and contractor.

What I built

A calm, photo-driven Next.js site with:

• Project portfolio with category filtering (bathrooms / construction / floors / roofs / interior)
• Service overview with six service blocks, each clickable for detail
• Contact form with a "Call me back" option and preferred call window (morning / afternoon / evening) — a form flow that matches an audience that prefers a phone call to an email
• Approach in four steps: Intro → Design → Execution → Delivery
• Full NL/EN with locale switch in the header

No Supabase. No auth. Content is filesystem-driven (MDX for projects), hosted on Vercel with edge caching. Resend for contact-form mails to the owner's inbox.

Stack

Next.js (App Router), Tailwind for styling, Resend for the contact form, Vercel for hosting + edge caching. Deliberately simple: a complex CMS would be overkill for a contractor site.

Result

Live at dutchengineeringgroup.nl/nl and /en. WhatsApp floating button for low-friction contact. No headline stats to share — for a service site in this corner conversion is slow and relationship-driven, not measurable in the same week.
